B.A.D. — Blasting, Annihilation & Destruction is a vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up released for MS-DOS in 1997 by Pseudos Software and published by Webfoot Technologies, Inc. You fly a single ship against eight levels of insects, machines and bosses, collecting weapons, dignity markers and credits along the way.
This is a browser remaster. No source code for the original survives, so the simulation was transcribed from its disassembly: fixed-point motion, the game's own collision silhouettes, and its 70.0863 Hz tick. The art, music and level scripts are the original's, decoded from the archives it shipped with. It runs on WebGL 2 and an AudioWorklet, needs no plugin, no emulator and no install, and is free and open source.
